Welcome to the website of the Wey Valley Community Rail Partnership

The Wey Valley Line passes through the stations of Guildford, Wanborough, Ash Vale, Ash, Aldershot, Farnham, Bentley and Alton.

Find out about this area steeped in history, explore the countryside, towns and villages, take part in one of the walking festivals or attend one of the many events that take place throughout the year. There is something for all ages and interests

Our aim is to encourage the use of the train services and stations as access gateways to this area, which follows much of the beautiful Wey River in Hampshire and Surrey. The Wey Valley Community Partnership works with the rail industry, local authorities, businesses and local stakeholders as well as tourist attractions to attract more visitors to the area using the trains and develop our stations.

We welcome local people to volunteer with us and join in with our activities, so please get in touch

Why do we do what we do?

Our activities incorporate the Department for Transport’s Community Rail Development Strategy’s objectives:

  • Providing a voice for the community
  • Promoting sustainable, health and accessible travel
  • Bringing communities together and supporting diversity and inclusion
  • Supporting social and economic development

We look forward to seeing you soon
